im gonna need a verification on this one. I got this beat with two sequences both sequences uses two synth snippets i recorded directly to tracks 61-62. earlier on 4.27 it worked fine.after upgrade the sequences start without those recorded synths.Altough they kickin once the seq has gone a full loop and starts over. is this a bug. and oh... its not a track mute thing either.

I've noticed similiar problems with audio tracks too.

I was noticing a lot of other bugginess with audio tracks when playing with them last night. I haven't submitted a bug report yet, but whenever I would delete a recorded sample from the window button things seemed to go haywire. Also, it doesn't seem to name the recorded audio track samples correctly, so all takes ended up with the same name (no auto numbering of sample names).
Then not being able to scroll through sample takes on certain tracks or track name staying blank. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with using a foot pedal to play/record.
So I think the audio tracks have a few more gremlins than pre 4.30, I'lll try to replicate some of these problems tonight for a bug report.

You might want to upgrade to the new OS.....play around with the OS more...and the submit a report. You will have to do this quickly because he/she/they are crankin out OS everyday.

man i spent some more time trying figure this thing out.its the most bizzare thing i have ever experienced so far.i could have understand if my mpc crashed or didnt work at all with the audio in stuff but no.it just seems so bonkers. no logic to it at all. i really hope jj makes something about this cuz i have several projects with many audio in stuff and i just cant work on them.and mind you this is not a "if i press pad 75 and scroll to seq edit and paste a bar the mpc freezes" kinda complicated issue. this is a much bigger bug.

the bug remains as off os 4.35. can someone else verify this issue? anyone else having this problem? we need to do something about it.

Yes I am. And it's pretty irritating, not to say that it makes the direct record function almost useless. And it's not just a problem with older projects, also the ones you create in 4.35..

I hope it gets corrected real soon. When did you report it, rabulisten
?

i reported before 4.35 came out. i think i reported three days ago. so i tought the update that corrected the "paste in midi edit " would solve it but it didnt. i reported once again like four hours ago. your quite right it renders the whole audio in feature useless. i work with my micron alot so i was thrilled when i heard jj increased the number of audio in tracks. now im less thrilled. i have some projects that i would really wanna continue to work on so do your magic
jj. we re dying here...

I played with direct audio in 4.34 last night without any problems.
I did avoid deleting any samples from the sample list window, or using my foot switch to start recording.
I wonder if the problem you're having with the audio tracks not starting until the sequence loops has something to do with the window from the mute page that has an option to "start immediatly" or something like that (not near mp at the moment). Probably not, but it was working good for me last night.
It would be nice if there was an option to keep or discard an audio track take after recording it.

well jj responded to my bug report.but i think he got it wrong:

The following setup is required to record a sequence.
1. Please move cursor to a track number on a main screen.
2. Please choose a track 57-64.
3. Please press the window key.
4. Rec.input: MAIN OUT
5. Press OVER DUB+[PLAY START] or [PLAY]

thats how we record theses tracks.it not the recording that is an issue its the playback. its just not working properly. i sent them a new mail trying to describe the problem. hopefully they ll work it out soon
