Mpc not detecting jj upgrade 4.20-4.32/file making problem

I am attempting to upgrade from 4.20 jj to 4.32 jj
After I boot by holding down window on my mpc 1000
It says its searching but does not detect to bin file so it just goes back to 4.20 jj os.
Also my mpc won't let me create any new folders on the compact flash card. I spell out new folder name, when I enter, it says error, directory problem. Thanks, Kamal

Backup your files from the card to a computer, then reformat the card on the MPC and copy the stuff back. Then copy the OS file to the card and upgrade - you can do that also from the Load screen, it's faster. Just point the MPC to the .bin file and load it...
