Heavy Sync Problems

Hi,

i use my 1k as the master to a mac running Logic Pro 7.2

I´m having horrible latency and timing problems.

when i have both clicks running it gets sorta polyrythmic

Any idea how i could fix this?

the only thing which comes to my mind is to use the AMT instead of motu´s built in Midiport ...

That's probably a good idea even if you find the problem is somewhere else in the system, since the motu hardware's advertised timing specs usually only apply to it's use with motu software because of all the proprietary timestamping they use (at least, I know this is the case with the USB stuff). Unless you want to shell out some cash for Digital Performer...

I take it you've tried the sofware "nouge" control to slide the timing around? It's been awhile since I used any version of Logic but it's gotta have one of those...

Well, i tried to fix latency by shifting the track delay in logic 1/12 and it worked. But as soon as i stop and hit play again the timing differs again, if there would be a "fixed" latency i could deal with it woul be cool, but it varies a lot.

Are you using MTC (midi time code)?
