Lets get JJ to Pimp Song Mode, make it more visual maybe (grid style) who knows i'm gonna start thinking of ideas. I've never used any hardware other than the MPC1000 so I dont know what has already been used in terms of "song Mode."

Anyways, give some feedback, maybe im on the wrong track, just an idea.

i said that, the grid song mode, a while back. there were a few people who liked the idea i believe. it would make song mode a lot more "sexy" than it is now. so yeah, im in.

this is one of my biggest hopes.
ideally it would be like reason's sequencer, where you can draw over series of notes and make em little "boxes" which you could click and drag

this would take simult sequence to a whole new level.

i think a nice feature for song mode would be to be able to specify track mutes for a sequence in song mode. Rather than duplicating the sequence a bunch of times and muting the various sequences copies. Although, that way is good in a lot of ways, it would be cool if song mode could control mutes.

also, it would be cool if song mode had some of it's own tracks, so you can select a program for a track in song mode, and record a track over the entire song (without converting it to a sequence first). the eps has a similiar feature.

i think it would bring it even closer to a daw in a box. i dont really like song mode right now. its simple, and easy to use. but it doesnt make me want to use it. i wonder if its even possible to create a song grid mode. is it as simple as programming it do you think? if so, i hope its on jjs list.
