On the Main Screen - what is PC

On JJ OS 4.39 what is PC? When I select PC, I can change it from 1-128. What is this function?

I believe this is refered to as "program change"

if you put a value in there, and assign its channel to the same on an ext midi instrument, the instrument will change its program to the one selected on the mpc, immediately.
