just bought an axiom 49 midi controller, any chance i can trigger samples on the mpc using the midi controller keys? seems like it should be such a simple task but I've been searching around and experimenting for hours, cant get it working.

please just give me a quick hand or point me in the right direction without a hassle, sorry in advance if i just had some sort of brain fart and missed a sticky.

thanks

i think pms stands for private messages (through the forum).

hookup your axiom midi out port to the mpc midi in port.

enable in the mpc the midi sync in (midi clock)

check that the track where the prog is load, is also set to listen the righ midi channel (from 1 to 16, port A or B)

be sure to trigger the proper sample note. notes on the mpc1k are ranged from 35 to 96.

hope it helps

Sync In has nothing to do with this issue - that sets the system to accept MIDI clock, which a MIDI keyboard doesn't generate.
