recording from main out and level meter inactive -> bug ?

Hi,
yesterday i was resampling from the main out, which i had not done for ages.
i was a bit surprised to see that the level meter did not show the level of the sound when hitting a pad. (they just did not do anything).

was it the same in previous os ? or is it a bug ?

as far as i remember it was the same with akai 2.10

yeah it's always been like that - i wonder if we could get that fixed...would be useful..

ok, thats cool. not a big issue at all. maybe i'll ask JJ to change that when i don't find any other bugs.

I came here looking to find if anyone else had seen this issue, I was worried I had borked something during an upgrade, somewhat relieved to find you all suffering along with me. Seems like an easy thing to fix.

This is the only bug I've found that's so obviously.

Just set your output level in other to 0db and set the pad level in the program to 100. Nothing to see there and perhaps the machine needs the power to record it all in case you use fx or whatever.

There are bigger problems but it does surprise at first.
