Saving and Loading Methods

Can some of the users here share how they save/load their songs, samples, and patterns. To enlighten some of us new users of the mpc and the jj os.

save entire memory to a new folder every single time...overwrite folders whne saving overtop the other one and then just keep moving

i never use any saving method other than save entire mem.

never any problems with that then i assume? im always just worried that it's too easy and something will get overlooked. i guess that all stems from using the akai os and always having all sorts of strange memory issues withit.

So for example you have a song you have built with samples, midi assigned tracks, etc. You save the entire memory to a new folder with the name of that song or project? Then you can go back and do certain edits and maybe add some new samples. Then rewrite over that folder? Also I am trying to create a new PGM for midi assignment to my machine drum and save it as MD how do I save it as a midi program? Sorry if that one is a bit off the topic.

same way i do it. takes time but iv'e normally put the time into that track.

also note pad is always good showing tempos ideas keys and notes on what u want to do with the tune keep a diary

I am autoloading with 24 programs

When i change a program i save it to the autoload folder
sequences are saved in another folder.

For every new beat i make a new folder and just save entire memory.. when i adjust a beat i just save entire memory again at the same folder of the beat that i'm working on..

takes some seconds, but it's the easy way for me..

I'm sorry for asking as this must've been asked a thousand times before.. but if I for some reason decide to change back to the official os, I can still load anything as usual right? The new beats won't be locked to the new os?
