Yo, saw lots of people mentioning using pedals for kick drum on that last thread. Just thought id share, I use a SPD-S. Its its own sampler, but point being you can plug 1 external trigger. So set up the spd on a snare stand, and buy a kick trigger (I just have one on my jazz bassdrum but you can get an old pice of crap that will work just as good.) Then I play the spd like its a kit (has 9 pads). The spd is basicly a live drumming version of the SP, so its probably overkill (there might be a cheaper one that still lets you plug in a bassdrum trigger and doesnt sample).
So plug that sucker in via midi, chop some Grimey assed hits off your favorite 70s album, and boo the F--- Ya.
Of course if you cant play the kit for shnizt than this aint gonna do you no good.
