it can now use .SND files - i think this was post JJ but i ent sure..
got a feeling people must have new that but been keeping it quiet surely haha
i noticed it a while back but thought it must have been common knowledge..a lot of people have checked this thread out already so obviously not
the advantage is they are tiny in size compared to wav..
for example i got a program here with 47 differnt hits (all drums an precussion etc) and the the combined size of the lot of them is less that 1.4MB

There's only neglibable difference in size between SND and WAV - SND files are very slightly smaller.
Just had a quick look on a samplepack of ours with 192 drum hits
WAV - 3863 bytes (3.68MB)
SND - 3835 bytes (3.65MB)
So hardly any difference at all, just 28k.

cool, maybee its just the program i have here thats small then...
seems like it would make sense though being as size would have been more of an issue back then
has this been mentioned before then - i have been searching an i cant fid where anyones said they have used this file type on the 1000
cos
