Is anybody else frustrated that Q links still reset whatever ajustment you made the very next cycle? Check it out: set a qlink to pitch, set the target to track, ajust pitch with the slider to where you want it, hit record, tap a pattern and bingo!, the next time it comes around it changed back to what it was before... Not funky kids, not at all...

record a seq or pad hits, stop it.
then set your q-link and overdub it it dosen't reset!

I guess but I think the thing about mpc's is really the instant vibe, how you respond to a sound and it's relationships to other sounds determines what patterns and approach you take to a beat... I mean anything can be worked around but this machine has been around in various incarnations for what, twenty years? Are we really trying to bend how we do music to a machines flaws? It's depressing, I just wanna make jams and it's such a vibe killer... almost wants to make me get a (gasp!) MV8800...

i feel you.
just stick with the version that worked best for you, it'll get ironed out.
