timing resolution changed in newest os?

Ive read about the latest os 4.58 were its possible to shift notes just like in fruity loops. But is the timing resolution increased???
In the original akai os the mpc1k is just 1/96

explain moving the notes like Fruity Loops with new feature in 4.58 OS? i am unsure of what you mean..


but i will attest that i used to use the actual tempo and now i double it and instead of using 1/16 normal time i use 1/8 (3) and it seems to work for the stuff i am doing.. MUCH MUCH better..
