another problem...midi related

ok, i had my setup perfect and i dunno wat ive messed up. ok i basically want my oxygen 8 keyboard to record midi notes into the mpc. ive got the midi out of the oxygen 8 hooked into the midi in of the mpc. for sum reason its not record any data wheneva i press a key on the keyboard. the keyboard is hooked upto ableton via usb, and the mpc midi out is hooked up to my soundcard. this has worked before, dunno wat ive done wrong. just in case u hav read my other post, im now successfully using ver 4.51, but it wont let me load 4.61. i had this midi issue b4 i upgraded from v.4.50...so i dont think its the os, but please correct me if im wrong.

problem solved, i had the mid cable plugged into the wrong port on the keyboard. sorry for being an idiot. u can lock this post.
