Someone's gotta know the answer!!!

Got "directory error" message,
formatted my CF.
Tried to format internal hard drive 'x' but
displays "system error"

I've got 128 mb installed.

No one helped the last guy with this issue,
can you......?

(By the way, I'm running JJ 3.06)

There may be several if not many reasons that you're getting an error message when you try to format your internal hard drive.

Is the drive on the Akai approved list?

Did you buy the internal caddy necessary to install a hard drive?

Is the hard drive properly mounted in the caddy?

The 128 meg memory expansion has nothing to do with the hard drive --- it's RAM and the hard drive is (more or less) permanent storage inside the MPC.

The newer versions of the jj os cost only $30. Why haven't you spent what I consider to be the best $30 I've ever invested in my gear?
