Tap tempo

hi all, using 4.6 JJ and I understand you can set the tap tempo to any pad. How can I set it to use the tap tempo button?

I read the manual and didn't see anything

hey bro. if i get what you mean i think you want too hit the pad and have that too set the tempo??? if so push mode other, push P.MODE which is F5 . then move cursor over too change mode for the pad ya wanna change. ya can control heaps of functions with em.
