system behind the default midi assignment?

what sense makes the default midi assignment? is it a kind of chord system? I wanna play more than 16 slices without bank switching with my keyboard in correct order. ihave to change the midi assignment manually everytime (chopshop-generated sliced-sample-program) ,this sucks

It's not a chord system, it's drum pad layout for GM Drums. You can change the default pad layout in mode+OTHER if you find you're do this change too often.

ahh ok GM drum ,but i can´t save midi assignment thats not cool so everytime i switch On the mpc i have to reassign it ,so chopshopprograms
are playable witch keyboard. has nobody ever had the idea to ask jj what about switch midiassign to "cromatically" witch one button ,or better to save midiassign in mode+other ?
