A quick question... Swing does push everything to the right? right?

no, that's shift timing.
swing pushes the upbeat later based on a silly percentage that should just be ticks instead of percentages but there you go

so 50% is no swing? I never knew that, I figured that the MPC's all had a built in swing and 50% was just the lowest, but it's none eh?
What percentage do you guys find yourself using most often?

yeah 50 means 'no swing'
above 70 and you're getting into that freaky madlib swing feel, but most classic swing hip hop (premo/etc) is probably 65-68 I'm guessing. Only had my mpc for 1 week, but that's the way I hear it.
so quaver swing (1/8) pushes the 2nd 4th 6th and 8th quavers back a bit depending on your percentage.
semi quaver swing 1/16 will push back the 2nd 4th 6th 8th...12th...16th semi-quavers back a tad.
The 1st 3rd 5th .....7th...13th etc will remain quantized on the count.
