I was with my homie last night and we coulndt find something so we went up to view and only searched for the specific file type. Anyone care for this function? I didnt really think I'd miss it until recently when I was searching for a program myself, it was missing from my project file. I wanted to search for just pgm's but couldnt do it. I'm not familiar with programing so I'm not sure if this a major addition or not. We all know that the OS memory is full, but last time I posted something about a small additon (file size in load screen) JJ added it.
Anybody else find this feature helpful? I does come in handy @ times.

Nice! Shall we email JJ? Whats funny is that I asked that last time and he just uploaded an update without me contacting him.

yeah email JJ if you want, I'd rather be able to search for specific file types than not...

BUT: I'm so amazed by the mpc still, it doesn't matter. I sometimes think so hard about it and its ramifications in The Universe that I forget to even turn it on... combine that with thoughts on the single MIDI synth I have and it's enough to make me need a nap... brain is fried.

True. Also you can use the search function of your Computer and enter .pgm in the search field and the location where to look for the file extension (whole HDD or specific folders e.g.) only programs will get shown

True, and that's a good idea, but I don't always have my computer with me.

I think the file lists are arranged by type already.

They are, but the View: File Types eliminates all other file types when youre searching for a certain file. Like when you load a project file and a pgm is missing cause it might be in another folder, you go to View: and select .PGM and when you go to different folders, it will only show .PGM's instead of all the files types. Makes it easier and faster to see if that missing PGM is in that folder. The feature is in the akai OS if you wanna get a better idea of what I'm talking about.

Yup, that's what reminded me of it. Man, it does come in handy, and when you least expect it too.
