Extreme slow startup

Since I built in a hard drive (20gb akai approved and tested seagate) the startup time is about a minute, instead of 10 seconds what is used to be.

I got no auto load maps.

I built in a hard drive in my mpc1000 to but that one had no problems with it.

Any idea?
