mono sample to stereo effect on the mpc1000

I am using an mpc1000 with the latest JJos. What is a good effect to use to make mono samples into stereo like Pete Rock did on the soul survivor album? I love the mix on that album. Does anyone use stereo effects on the drums?

I sample in mono by the way.

what you could do is:

Create a program with the sample.
Use pad1+pad2. They have the same mono sample.
Now go to the filters of pad1 and give it a low pass filter of like 70 or 50.
Now go to pad2 and give it a highpass filter. Really experiment with the values. Now go to the mixer and have the pad1 playing on the left out and the pad2 pplaying on the right side. Now you have the most high instuments in the sample on the right side and the most low instruments on the left side.

That is in interesting idea. I will try that. Thanks.
