this is a feature ive always dreamed of having in a piece of hardware.
with the recent surge in jj brilliance and the talk of getting rid of realtime pitchshift im wondering if anyone thinks it would be possible to implement such a feature into the 2500

http://www.timefreezer.net/

click on the second screenshot above where it says
"TimeFreezer VSTi / Instrument" to see what i think would be an amazing thing to use with many many samples.

ive got 100s of atmostperic and textural samples that i would love to manipulate like this using the 2500s sliders and seeing it work on the waveform display like an instrument..
listen to the second video and you may recognise many of the samples hes using in it, and how vastly powerful this effect can be..

ADD SAMPLE RESYNTHESIS TO THE MPC!!!!!!!!!

anyone interested? someone should show this to jj, i dont know the suggestions email

so this is essentially just a looper with some sort of start/endpoint overlap smoothing..
just imagine having qlink paramerters controlling where in the wave your playing and another controlling the size of the loop its playing, and if you could even use it on the live input like the first video

or get this!
if you could assign diffrent steps in the waveform with each pad and assign diffrent tune to each and step through them using the pads

this could even be used as an amazing sort of time stretcher if you moved forward "or reverse" though the sample slowly

all while watching the playback section on the wavefom in the display!!
this is kind of like the ensemble called "grain states" in reaktor

i would pay jj like a couple hudred bucks if he could do this

it could be achieved by making slider 1 the start point of the loop and slider 2 the end point of the loop

thats is of course assuming that there were the ability to assign these jobs to the sliders
