chop timing-> track

is there a way to extract the chop timing into a track?


Recycle lets you save a midi file with the chop timing for
the individual notes, so one can start editing from there.
(delete, offest notes, combine 2 breaks etc.)
i used to do that in logic with exs24 and recycle.

single slices are nice, but one could use the original
timing of the loop/break for other tracks too... (as a quantize template).
this gets lost when breaking into single slices, or am I missing something.

Or can i extract the slice timing from a patched phrase somehow?

yeah i'd love this. meanwhile the best i can suggest is just to reprogram it. that is by far the most time consuming process for me, but it is fun. it takes a LOT of note nudging to get it off the TC format and into its naturally played grooves.

maybe someday we'll have that feature but meanwhile get familiar with placement, you'll appreciate having done that later because it makes you faster in grid edit

If that could ever happen I'd be in heaven. Before I got my MPC I used to spend hours getting groove quantisation templates with Cubase from loops I'd done with my live, sequenced analogue kit and live drums. I'd then use that quantisation on every track in the tune. Made each track sit very tight together but with an organic groove containing subtle (but very felt) nuances. It really worked for me. I'm still finding my feet with my MPC in that respect... slowly but surely..
