When I use a track that I have recorded a mute track on, the next track will be muted in song mode.
This is surely a bug in JJ os I think.

If you're sure it's a bug, write a step-by-step bug report on JJ's site.

why even bother, I'll just have to record to adobe audition like always, the quality gets sunkier, but I guess i'll have to live with it until they fix this

its up to you, but they probably won't fix it unless you report it.

Can't fix a problem that THEY don't know about.

i have sent two bug reports about this.

in the latest os, if i do recorded track mutes then it will mute what it's supposed to be also do it for every track a random 12 bars later for a duration of, say, 3 bars.

doesnt make any sense. seems like this is a pretty straight forward thing. why am i having random track mute events showing up all over the place in step edit? ugh. its getting worse.

if you go to "track mute" while rec or overdub is lit, and then mute stuff, then it would be normal.
are you sure you are not doing that ?
