This weekend I got around to using grid edit in JJ OS 5.26. However, when I insert a new note/pad hit in grid edit, its duration is set to 0. This occurs whether the duration pref is set to "As Played" or "TC Value", and no matter how long I hold the pad down for.

Anyone else experience this problem? In practice, it means I can add new pad hits in grid edit, but then have to extend their durations using step edit.

This is only really noticable when the sample is set to "Note On" rather than "One Shot", but using step edit and looking at the timings, you can see the durations are 0 for pad hits entered in grid edit.

Change it from DRUM to MIDI and you get all the duration you need.

Thanks for the tip. There are times where grid edit in JJ OS works as in the Akai OS, and times when it doesn't. I'm trying to figure out if it's something I'm doing or some other cause.
