4.78 direct audio record glitch or Im dumb? maybe both?

Yo I am using track 57 to do an intro for a sample track. What I did was resampled the sample at the pitch I wanted. then I recorded the sample into audio track 57 as audio. It wont let me delete any portions of the audio and when I use the fade option more than once the whole audio track goes silent.

after you record in audio track. try to trim the sample in trim edit. I dont think you can trim it from the track 57.... the silence thing i have clue on.
