I have a Tom that hits on 2.04.88 on the sequencer. For some reason when the sequence plays and loops the end of the tom gets cut off.
When I play the hit by itself it plays fine so I know it's not the sample itself.

Anyone had this problem? I just installed the 4.82 os. Could this have something to do with it?

yeah, this is new in 4.82. i don't like it either but i wanted to test it a couple of days and see if i just need to get used to it. but i don't see any benefit yet.

plus samples mute eachother now even if they are on different tracks. think this changed with 4.82, too. they used to mute only if recorded on the same track before.

Known bug, already reported. Go back to 4.79 or turn Mute/Stop to "through" (track mute window -> press window)

t-pimp, did you see the field in one of the mode/other options (i think it's there) that is something like

END OF SEQUENCE: play thru, or immediate, or duration, or something like that that modifies the behavior of oneshots played that last into the next sequence?

BIG UPS to Antonym, Rinseout, and commander robot on this one.

Yea, I went to {Mode} - Pad 10 - and Misc. and there is a setting that says mute/stop of one-shot sample: (Through/Immediate).

Is this what u talkin bout nym?

What is the purpose of this function and where did it come from? I'm curious..... :?:

yeah that's the one, pimp

ok say you have a big "buildup" oneshot, a reverse crash that creshendos and goes to a regular crash like

....ssssssshshshshssssSHSHSHHHHSSshshshshshshssh........

say the middle part is the "turnover" to the next sequence, right at that zenith

if it was set to "THRU" then the rest of the crash would follow into the next sequence
if it was set to "IMMEDIATE" its tail would get clipped by the turning of the sequence.

hoiwever, if this is a new bug in 4.82, then this wont help you. i'll have to do some research.

is this true robot? hm. don't know if this is good, i have many old projects where different tracks using the same pgm use mute groups per TRACK not per PROGRAM......

say you set pad a01 to mute pad a02, they only use to mute if they are on the same track. if you put them on different tracks, they don't mute. but since 4.81, the samples mute each other even if recorded on different tracks.

i don't think so. not in the old akai os, and most of JJ os.
i think mute group has always been program, not per track.
same as a drummer, the program is the drumkit.

for instance if i have one track with open hihat, when i launch the 2nd track with closed hihat, i make them cutoff the open hihat in the other track. which it should do.
