i get a popping noise when recording ...

i have the jj os and lately ive been getting a random popping noise every time i record a track.. anyone know what it might be??? ITS ACTUALLY WHEN I RECORD USING MY FIRST PAD!!!

I had the same problem when I first got my MPC1000 also.Do you have the usb cable connected while playing/recording?If so disconnect it and only use it when transfering files from pc.After a search on these boards I found out thats what my problem was...
