Theres basicaly only 2 versions.
One that acts as sort of a demo version, where you cant save, and the full version for 30$.
I was also wondering, are there any other features in the free version of JJ that are disabled other then saving?

you can save in the free version
it's only when you download the newest versions without paying that you cannot save. 3.07 is a free, fully-functional OS

Always go for the latest. That way, you get the latest functionality and bug fixes, we can all help to iron out any new bugs, JJ fixes them and everyone in this community is a winner.
