i don't think there's a real difference in sound quality. the volume is certainly lower when you use the stereo outputs, but you can compensate by adjusting the mixer level in the mpc or the input level on whatever you're recording into as i did in the files above.
all outputs (individual and stereo) produced waveforms with slightly different dynamics, but i think this is more due to the D/A and A/D converters on the MPC and MBox rather than the outputs themselves. just recording from the same output two times in a row could end up with waveforms that aren't exact because when you convert from digital to analog and then back to digital, you aren't going to end up with an exact copy of the original source like you would if you had stayed within the digital realm the whole time.
