I have no clue what is going on with my MPC. I have a 16 bar sequence that was working fine and for some reason it just started cutting out around the 12th bar of my sequence. All the MIDI information is still there for bars 13-16. I didn't automate any mutes and I don't have anything soloed. I can go back and play the sequence from bar 13 perfectly fine but when it come back to bar 12 all the sounds just cut out agin. I tried saving it turning off the mpc and then loading it again and still same problem. Anyone have an idea?

hahaha I love how everyone on here acts like they are a pro and then mob the rookies with insults when they ask a legit question. Now that theres a problem that is challenging and nobody can has any idea what to say. I fixed the problem anyways, so thanks to all the internet thugs.

I still don't know what it was, i just copied another bar over that one and it was gone. I couldn't find anything that was causing it in the step editor. It was wierd though because I watched it play through on the grid editor and saw that after 12.2.00 all the midi events after it dissappeared and then reaappered when i went back.

I didn't mean any disrespect to anyone who simply didn't know the answer. I was just commenting on something I've noticed a lot of.

Ive had that problem , with samples cutting off, but I figured it was because I had too many sounds going on at once..
Prolly ISNT the reason, but Ive had that.

you're probably out of polyphony.

I've had this same problem and I only had 1 bank of sounds loaded and I have 128mb ram so I'm thinking there's something more to this. Also of late, btw (this mpc is only a few months old, bought it brand new) while recording in cubase/Mpc is where I'm tracking in first ,I've noticed the Mpc just records extra midi notes, very weird.Has anyone else saw this I'm on v.5.43 I'm not so sure it's a j.j. problem becuz the akai os did the same thing, maybe bad ram? Maybe something in the hardware screwed up I don't know..Normally shutting it down will reset it some how, I wonder if there's a way to do this while it's on without having to shut it off?
