I JUST GOT THE JJ OS BUT I WANT TO KNOW IF IS POSSIBLE TO HAVE A SAMPLE AND KEEP ON LOOPING IT BY JUST HOLDING DOWN ONE PAD AND RECORD IT AT THE SAME TIME. AND IF SO HOW OR IF YOU GUYS HAVE OTHER WAYS ON HOW TO DO IT.

Is there a way to loop regions? I mean, can you have it on loop, the whole sound file will play through, then loop the highlighted area. Akai OS didn't do this, right?

Also while I was in the trim mode, when I had loop on, the sample wouldn't loop until I left trim mode.

Thanks, forgot about that. The old 2000 didn't do that.

The only loop options that i know of are the loop in the main window that loops the whole sequence, loop in the trim mode where it lets you select the loop points and you can actually press and hold the pad and it will keep looping till you let off the pad.but as soon as you enter the main screen and press that same pad that was set to LOOP in trim window will no longer loop in any other window. I could be missing something so simple ill kick my self in the head for it. but latley if i find a nice loop i'll just track the loop in logic.

maybe setting that pad in his program as NOTE ON (not ONE SHOT) will help. Don't have my mpc here, but that's how I loop loops..
