So much for the free lifetime updates people kept talking about since it's $39 and requires the first OS as well.

It looks like we have to wait until march. The 1000 users will be able to download it in december.

I guess he´s busy programming the 1000 OS first.

Actually I sold my 2500 a couple of months ago, nothing JJ was going to do was going to fix the f*cked up pads.
I had one of the ones with intermittent pads, as bad as the failing pads are on the 1k the multi/false triggers are worse because they can actually crash the 2500..
I still have some associates that have them but it wasn't something I could deal with using day to day.
I wonder why he still hasn't given the 2500 back the functions for the DVD/CDR drive?

One more thing Antonym f*cked up gear is just like a drug habit, has no real purpose in life.
Funny you associated those two, gave me a nice laugh.

More 1k people use the JJ since it gives the machine a lot of features before you even get into theplus zone so it's a better base for testing.
he started on the 1k and ported to the 2500 and typically drops major changes to the 1k first.
Usually the 2500 shouws up early but you just have to wait and see how the 1k goes first.

oooh that sucks man. i'm actually really sorry to hear that, i feel for you on that one. like you said, it's not something you can deal with day to day. there's nothing like disgust with your equipment to kill any inkling of inspiration. it's one thing if it's the flaw of the user, but when it's the equipment's problem...

if there's anyone who knows it, it's me, except i was dumb donkey stubborn enough to keep with my trashed up broken mpc1000 pads. and it didn't have the same crashing result. and somewhat broke, too, broke and stubborn.

haha having no life rules!!!!!
would you buy another 2500 or even - gasp - a 1000 with the new pads? what are you working on insteaD?

It is hard to tell what could be so great about this OS.

flunki, looking at what you wrote there is only 832k for the OS space. Which is probably plenty for whatever source code is used. I bet it's some type of assembly code... Must find out what processor is used in the MPC. Does anyone know?

Where did you get the internal flash memory map?
