a big thing in os2 is keygroups. a very big deal. lots of really nice things to be able to do here.

thing is, keygroup programs take a lot of program building. what i intend to do is create a webpage and give four or five members from the mpc forums community (more, if there are interested members) FTP access. i want to create a massive bank of multisampled jjos2 instrument programs for public download. there will be a lot of material up there, and my mods and i will have a strong sense of quality control ala oink.

if you're interested, speak up. rewards will be public love, a sense of wellbeing, and access to tons of great multisampled pgms.

there's a lot of useful stuff that can be used with os2. some samples are not designated their note on the file name. for that reason, you need a tuner to determine the sample's tune.

my recent discovery of Reaper has yielded me nothing but joy. reaper comes bundled with Reatune, which is an Antares clone.

through this and other freeware utilities, you can find the tune of your samples and assign them thus in trim. this will help a lot.

more on this later, but in the meantime be thinking about it.

I use to have some good bass chords from my brothers bass guitar that I used in 16 levels. If I could get them cleaned up they might be worth using. You can hear a buzz. It's more high pitched.

Thanks again Ant! And anyone else who contributes... I hope to be able to share some samples, I guess I'll just have to see how good I am with the program first. I was hoping for something like this as soon as I read that the new program included sine waves to build synth patches. If i'm hearing you correctly we could not only have multi-sample downloads but user patches as well... I'd deffinately love to contribute in this way... Mad props...

I'd be down to help with that, we could also use bandwidth from my server if needed, it's not like it's really being used for anything else. It's got like 250GB of bandwidth that I am utilizing maybe .001% of.

Would give me a good reason to give my website a good overhaul as well.
