I've never had any problem with that feature, but when I want to do pitch bend, I usually set it up to send the midi pitch bend parameter, not a controller. I don't know why you're trying to use CC 16 to do this but I would guess you are getting inconsistent results because some of the programs on the trition are set up to respond to that controller and some not. As long as the MPC is sending the message you select there's no bug, but what the machine on the other end does with the signal is another matter entirely.

You can always check that stuff with a computer midi monitor.

thanks, perhaps i'm a bit confused...how do you " set it up to send the midi pitch bend parameter " with the sliders ?

Guess what, you can't! because it's not there. Just controllers for MIDI send. Bummer. I was sending midi pitch bend from external hardware.

Actually, why don't you do that and just record it from the trition midi output? That thing at least has a pitch wheel doesn't it? It's got to be a better control than those cheapo sliders anyway.

lol...no not better than the cheapo sliders cus my bend on the triton is broken :( ...there should be a way to control the bend from the mpc...it controls everything else on the triton (ie. adsr, volume, attack)...if not a feature request to JJ?

Doh! That sux.

I don't see any reason why that option can't be added, but since pitch bend is double the resolution of the standard controllers it's a little tricky, you might only be able to do coarse resolution.

I usually use an old KP1 Kaoss pad for pitch bend... pretty cheap these days.

On second thought, maybe you should just read the Korg manual. Find out how it maps that controller (or any controller) to pitch and just reprogram it in the T.
