I made a live set using Akai OS.
I am doing a gig and the promoter can hire me an MPC with JJ OS.
Will my music sound the same or will levels etc. be changed?

I noticed when I changed from Akai OS1 to OS2 that the velocity response changed quite drastically - the balance of the sounds in my sequences was altered a lot.

Anybody know for sure?

Otherwise I guess I can always install Akai OS on their MPC and then re-install JJ afterwards but that's a bit of a pain...

thanks everyone.

im fairly sure that the jjos1 (!not OS2!) would work with your akai os made bits, but its more the point that you'll be very disorientated, as it looks and is layed out very differently..

but again, if u are desperate i'd load the akai os onto it and be sure to (firstly) save a copy of both your akai's os and the jj's os to the hd/cf storage device, so u can easily switch between them by load/boot incase u get queasy with the JJ.
