So, my card filled up, so i opened it up on my Mac via USB and delete all my files. Upon putting it back into my mpc, it said that it was still full when i tried to save, so i formatted my card with a program in mac (probably my mistake)

Now everytime i try to save my beats in a folder i get "SYSTEM ERROR" OR "FAT Error"

If i just try to save my beats without a new folder, my mpc just freezes up, partially through the save.

Im using the "save entire memory" option.

ALso, im not worried about loosing any files on my card (because there arent any) So im open to any suggestions at all.

Thanks again

Yep, that's the problem and it's not surprising you got the results you did.

If you want' to use a disk in the MPC, you have to format it in the MPC as it has it's own routine for doing so which is different than the routines used in MAC or PC formatting.

ON my version (JJOS 3.06)

It is Mode, Load, Format(F3)

I just checked the JJOS 4.xx manual and I did not see any mention of this, so I assume it is the same.....

anyone else notice that the sticky thread right above this one [about formatting a CF card in jj os 3.08] doesn't mention having to press the window button to get to the format screen? i'm sure that would help a lot of new ppl and lurkers...

You don't have to on the 3.06 version....

That one is under Mode, Load, (f3)

That is why it didn't work when I gave info.. I am running the 3.06 and he is running the 4.XX version.

Well, you would think it would make sense to keep updated with the most recent operating system. Oh well. Thanks

why you were getting card full thing is beacause mac doesen´t really delete the files.. it just hides it..

If you put your card in a windows computer you will see the hidden files that OS X makes...

Really anoying

i think on mac you have to empty the trashcan before you eject the flashcard for it to delete the files... sumthin like that.
