program won't play assigned pads

Do help you better understand let me give you an example... let's say I'm using pads 1-12 all with DIFFERENT sounds. When I create the beat in real time it sounds perfect. But during playback, the parts that i hit pads 9-12 are the sounds from 5-8?! I have even gone as far as putting the sounds that i had on pads 9-12 on a different bank and even renamed them, and yet whenever I press these those sounds they still sound like whatever sounds are on pads 5-8. You gotta help me

Double check if you don't have any Program Changes in the sequence laying around. Sometimes it can confuse very easily.

check the midi note assignment of your pads in program mode. It may explain what's happening.
