i don't like how i can easily change the samples assigned to a pad in main screen... this is something that should be done in a subwindow.

i've accidentally changed samples in MAIN view as well. it's nice for those who love to do everything from the main view. personally i do not see myself changing samples anywhere other than New Program mode and GPE. i just have to train myself around it. there are a couple of quirks like that which i feel are just differences in workflow that i'll have to integrate

i also really liked the note indicator, but i'm frequently in grid mode anyway, which is all 1 big note indicator. i also wonder what's going there.

MIDI IN channel selection?
multitimbralism followed by qlink control...that would be quite good woudn't it?haha

hell yes.
well, wait and see i guess. march feels a long way away.
meanwhile all yesterday i was making a beat, probably the first beat that i will make/finish all in os2.

it's a very different beat than anything i've done before, not necessarily because of anything that os2 specifically offers but it's just the otherall change in approach that prompts such a difference in style.

Damn I just noticed that. Its a love hate for me and something I think I can get used to.

I can easily scroll through, Lets say a program full of snares to get the right sound.
I know you can do it i another window, but it seems real convenient
for me the way it is right now. def one to grow on tho.

i see the benefit of change a sample real quick, but you shuold at least be able to lock the sample/pad assignment on main screen, that would solve the problem.

i agree if we could have some sort of quick lock on sample/pad assignment on main screen.
or failing that an option to turn it off - if it's a real annoyance.

yeah i do keep doing it by accident. i can't telll if i'll learn to stop or if it's just a "tactile hazard"

still, otherwise, a pretty nice workflow, huh? i like how grid edit doesn't need an OVERDUB to make edits. my hand often still goes to overdub by muscle memory, i'll have to outlearn that habit too.

i was doing a LOT with midi controlling reason. i had an inst program of an accoustic bass, a chopped sample, and then 4 reason instruments - a western guitar, another bass, some guitar pluck "hilights," and a quiet quiet textural synth. one of the nicer beats i've started recently.

let's only hope that it's implemented!

hi- my name is mstrpig and i've been accidently changing my samples for 4 weeks now... i could'nt face the shame of admitting it to anyone or to myself, but being in a group situation has really helped me face it and come to terms with it. i'm getting a little better every day...one step at a time...thanks
