input volume too low..(?)

when tryin to record something, the input volume is just too low, i can barely hear my synth over the mpc when i`m playin something to a sequence i did with samples inside the mpc..

input trough is on and set to 100

can anyone help?

well, now i switched my emu goes into my mixer and from there into the input of the 2500.
loudness problem solved, instead i have a lil more noise, guess i have to live with that.
If not maybe one of you wants to post his experience.
