did the 'trim' page ever be right on the correct sample when the sample was selected in the gpe? i'm sure i used to just tap the pad, edit it in the gpe, then if i went to 'trim' "voila" there it was, ready to work, yet nowadays, its allways on the wrong one....

now i know theres a few idiosyncrasies in jjos - and quite probably in how i use it, but im certain i remember thinkin "wow, thats the way its supposed to be , cool" everytime it happened, now it doesnt happen.....

agh!, it just did it this time,

but i cant suss out why it does it sometimes, not others,

i was just moving around the gpe, tappin a few pads, got to the sample/pad i wanted then hit 'trim' and it was at the sample!, but for about 15 tries before i wrote that last post, it wouldnt happen.

i must be doin something, anyone know exactly the routine to get this...?

Hmm ive noticed this in OS2... i just thought that it was a bug waiting to be fixed...

If i understod you correct...

Tap pad A1 ---> Trim
And the sample asigned to pad A1 would be selected.

This is how im used to it anyway..

I stumbled across this a while ago.

I think the difference is if the mpc is playing or not. With the akai os you couldnt go to trim while the mpc was playing, now you can.
But it will ignore which pad has been selected while playing.

im on OS2 v0.84

And im used to the behavior like this:
From Program mode

Tap PAD A13 ---> TRIM
The asigned sample to PAD A13 would be the sample upfront.

Now it behaves like this:
Tap PAD A13 ---> TRIM
And the the sample signed to PAD A16 will be upfront.

And also
PAD14 --->TRIM PAD16
PAD15 --->TRIM PAD16
PAD9 --->TRIM PAD12
PAD10 --->TRIM PAD13
PAD11 --->TRIM PAD14
And so on.

This is really anoing...

It functions normal on the OS1
