ok so i was working on a beat and got a glitch when i made an instrument program with a looped drum sound. everything is ok except when i get into the high c bank and all of the d bank. when i get there. it plays the sound not looped, echoes it back at a certain time increment at a lower pitch and then plays a completely different sample that i have in the memory. but it is the same sample every time. from my reading this is something that is similar to Jessiah's glitch in the old akai os 1.07. let the video do the talking. also. i plan to start making a lot of jj os 2 videos. just for future notice.

yeah man i know what you mean... ive had something like that happen with some video game samples i used. when ever i would attempt to play two or more pads at once in the c and d banks, i would get these insane glitch freakouts, personally i loved it but i could only imagine that it would be terrible if you're trying to do something with accurate precision.

funny enough, the asr-10 used to do the same thing back in the day. if you had a sample with a very tight loop & then held a bunch of keys down, the asr would start glitching out & playing whatever samples were in memory randomly with bursts of noise, glitches, etc. i think it has to do with the processor freaking out over the rapid computations required to play a tight loop rapidly when you go up to a higher pitch.

I have had similar problems.

Also, I have noticed from time to time there is a delay in response when first starting trying to play an instrument program.

I have also noticed the volume of the programs sound very different when pressing the pads vs when a recorded track is played back.

I think Instrument programs are a great idea, I just wonder if the mpc can properly handle them. I think things may get worse when you try to stretch a sample across too far of a range of notes.

Just my thoughts....

I had a problem similar to that but using drum programs. The wrong sample loops and repeats, slowly decreasing in volume until it is no longer audible.
