I was just messing with the MPC 1000 mixer (pad8) and i noticed the level would move sporadically without me moving them. As i put them on max and press a new pad they go down at the last second. Is this the MPC or the OS ?

does the volume go down to the level that your q-link is set to?

i think you're hitting the mpc so hard you're shaking the q-link and it's adjusting the volume. i've seen people have the same issue before and ask that question. i've mentioned that it's probably a loose q-link and then they never respond back to confirm my suspicions. let us know if that's the problem.

i thought the sliders automatically tie to the mixer levels,

so even if u arent 'moving' the slider, if its faulty it could be still tweaking the values.

i recently noticed that when i moved one slider, the other would mysteriously send values to its selected destination.....

i instantly complained to JJ about bugs n stuff, but as my pad was sticky i decided to open the unit to swap it, then i saw a terrrible 'dry joint' on the second qlink pcb!, so i needed to re-solder it. it worked perfectly since then,

so the moral of that long story is to check the slider for any hardware faults..
if u can stomach opening her up...
