jj os1 sound quality

i just bought jjos 4.99b and installed it,, it sounds like the sound quality of the pre installed demo songs got worse. has anyone noticed a drop in sound qualiy? also can someone point me in the right direction, i wanna learn how to track my tracks into protools. my set up is as follows, i have an imac,mbox2, and i use reason4 as a sound module,but everything gets sequenced on the mpc1000 and i have abosolutely no experience with protools... any help would be appreciated

all i gotta say is... get your connections right between your mpc and your mbox... refer to your manuals while puffing on reefer!

im no newbie to this,, i started about 2 years ago with just reason and an oxgen25. the i got a 2000xl and so on,, i got my shiii running right.,, i just got the 1000 and i was learning the factory os and said f'it and got the jjos ,. im ok with reason but i only use it for sounds, not as a sequencer,, the problem is that i don't know how to do anything in protools. i work a lot so its hard to dedicate time to learning 4 different things at once. all i really need to know is how to track my mpc tracks into protools,but its a bit more complicated because im using sounds from reason so i would have to track with rewire

Hey, I'm tryin to figure out the same thing, but with Cubase. I use my mpc1000 to sequence everything, but I most of my sounds are from reason. This whole rewire thing is confusing me. Cubase will pick up the sounds from in the mpc, but nothing from Reason. Did you ever figure it out???

i had to make an auxiliary track,,i opened reason as an instrument in the auxiliary trackthen bus the out put of the auxiliary track to the inputs of my regular tracksbut u can only hear sounds when the tracks are record enabled

I don't get it. Basically, what I'm tryint o do is record vocals over some beats ive already done. I just got Cubase so I don't know much about it.

honestly fam i have never recorded vocals or used cubase but u can probably find the answer online somewhere. try looking on YOUTUBE to see if ppl have posted tutorials or go to future producers.com and look around

My advice is dont use a mixer in reason and send each inst out of the midi interface instead this allows you to mix each channel in cubase separately.

There is also a protools school in most areas of the world, I found it real helpful.

Hey waada u know, I f'ed with it for 3 days and figured it out!! Now I can press play in cubase, and Reason and my mpc both play!! I can press play or stop on the mpc too. And I can record each track seperatly and use all of the Cubase VSTs and do fade ins and all that kewl stuff. The only thing, for some reason sometimes, or rather almost everytime I open reason again it says something about the a problem with the midi ports and I just keep closing it, fiddling with Cubase and reopening it, and when it finally works which it does in about five minutes, it doesn't seem to be for any particular reason or setting that I've changed.
