You got to love this JJ dude...especially if he takes the OS in a different direction than the 1000. I think he can increase profits by designing too different operating systems...

I'm really looking forward to this new OS. I had no idea how important non destructive editing could be until a few weeks ago, and some of these newer features like slowing down a sample by half the speed with the slider can help create so many different possibilities. The MPC1000/2500 will definitely be collectible drum machines in the future. No different than buying an MPC-60 with the 3.11 OS. Can you imagine years from now when JJ closes the door and purchasing the code isn't possible anymore how much a 1000/2500 will cost if the code is already installed?
Simply put, a 1000/2500 with JJ installed will be the drum-machine people will be looking for in the future. No other Drum machine in the history of equipment has had this many upgrades.
