DIRECTORY ERROR!!!!!! Episode 2

I am still getting "DIRECTORY ERROR!!" every time I try to save my entire memory--or anything for that matter--with the exception of programs or sequences that are not accompanied by samples when saved. I am currently running OS2 v. 1.02 and have formatted and changed out my CF card... but again, everytime I try and save it simply saves only part of my program + a couple of the samples associated with it before "DIRECTORY ERROR!!!"
I am at a total loss on this one... maybe I am overlooking something very simple....maybe not.... any assistance would be appreciated as this has been going on for quite awhile now....I posted the details of the first instance of this problem previously, but it is back again....

are you creating a new folder every time you save a new project? because if not, you need to be doing that. if you keep just saving the entire memory to the same place, it's going to start giving you an error and ask if you want to rewrite everything. this should be common logic.

I only get that error when I'm low on memory or if I imported the wrong bit rate, etc.
However, I get a similar problem when I load up a project.
First off...
Yes, I make a new folder & then save entire memory inside the folder.
The save goes as normal & all samples & programs save properly.
When I load the project I get a really similar problem to yours.
The project, program, & sequences load.
The exact same thing happens where it loads up just a few samples.
My programs all at least use 2 full banks, but only 1 or 2 samples load per program.
I then must reload each program 1 by 1 hitting replace every time.
The project is then the way it was when I saved it.
It has only came up this week & I have 2 CF cards.
Keep in mind some are project folders created & unchanged months or weeks ago.
If I hold tap & boot OS1 even the autoload folder flakes in OS2 it doesn't.
Of course I changed some settings using OS2 exclusive features.
It don't really bother me as of now.
I think there is probably some type of mem/key cleanup utility needing to come out.

directory errors often happen because of corrupted files (usually samples).
try saving/loading things individually and you should probably see which file(s) is causing the problem.

Have you formated from your computer or from the jjos? cause you need to format from the mpc save window,and not your pc/mac.

This should make any new things load and save correctly.
Any old stuff is already corrupted, if you want to salvage it ,you'll have load the project piece by piece to find out whats wrong,and redo the samples/programs.

I think it has to be a corruption in the sample files themselves glitching the saving process...

is it possible that the naming of sample files can cause a directory error? ie if all my kicks are named BD001- 400 and snares are SN001-400, when I save a program with these samples into a separate folder specifically for that program on my CF where the original samples came from, would that somehow cause the error?
