os2 pattern problem when controlling external synth.

Im enjoying new os2 so far,

but can any1 please test this :

- create a midi track
- route its output to 1A (or whatever your synth is connected, in my case is Virus TI)
- hear the pads respond ok
- then go to pattern mode+pad 11
- trigger a 16 step sequence.
- now try changing the tune row (F6 + turn data wheel).. nothing happens?

seems like note data is not transmitted to virus, I also tried with monomachine but the result is the same..

what am I doin wrong?

I will try later i noticed in pattern mode when grid edit/window key pattern is playing i select f6 ALL so i can adjust the velocity for all the steps when i try to adjust all of them work except the 1st step (far left).

I dont think you are doing anything wrong.. its just not implimented yet.
I think it was for a bit with the 1k os2 beta, but it was removed... I'm hoping it will return as its a great phrase / step sequencer.. Someone also mentioned in another post that it would be good to be able to send different controller info other than say velocity - then you could do mad filter patterns and stuff... using CC#40 or whatever.. .

the tuning parameter is just for internal note on info for the mpc, midi notes are not transmitted. There hasn't been any publicly available os which can do this. Hopefully this will be possible one day.

also I have to add that tune row works fine with internal sample /loaded program/,

its only not working for midioutputs..

honestly Im really impressed with the pattern mode, very inspring if you dig a bit and yeah adding some extra CCs would be great.!

I am afraid you will have to get that MPC 5000 to easily accomplish some of things that are suggested in this thread...

midi tracks won't do this? That's incredibly disappointing.
It sort of seems like 1 thing after another with this os.
I wonder where the JJ team gets it's ideas from sometimes.
