changing over from mpc 2000 to mpc 1000

so i have a few hundred beats from the 2000 and i have now switched to the 1000...i was saving on jaz and zip disks on the 2000. is there anyway i can read my jaz or zip's that are mulitple partitions on my pc to transfer them over to the 1000? or is it a good idea to hold on to the 2000 and do each beat one at a time by going this route? mpc2000->zip->pc zip->pc hard drive->usb to 1000. any insight would be appreciated.

Im going to be doing this in a couple of weeks,cause i need to get old beats of mine of a friends 2000. I think you should be able to load the files from the zip disk straight to your computer if you've got a usb zip drive. Then transer to the 1000 via usb...exactlyl ike you said :
