whats up everyone?

for some reason i thought that the 1k could output 6 tracks at a time utilizing spdif. is this not possible?

im talking as far as going into gpe and assigning tracks/pads to different outs. i know i can go main out l/r, but that doesnt help since i only have 4 analog inputs and spdif on my mbox 2 pro...

what am i missing?

SPDIF is the digital option to your main outputs. So the routing from that one output will only be left and right channel.

ADAT (which is found on the 4000) allows you to output more tracks, if I remember correctly.
That's what you might have got confused with.

As far as I can tell (from trying to record an MPC1000 into FL Studio thru an MBox2Pro) SPDIF and MIDI don't seem to like working at the same time.

Can't you route, hard left and then hard right for main/spdif and then individual outs, which will give you 6 mono outputs?

Adat is 8 channels. 4 stereo or 8 mono.

well, in 4.97, os 1, the routable out options are 12, 34, 1-4, and l,r. not being able to test because im having issues with my mbox, i assume that the lr are for the left and right stereo outputs. hopefully they are spdif, but i cant check yet.

thanks for the responses guys...

Spdif and main outs are mirrored I'm thinking.

So if you go hard left it will be output on both spdif/main at the same time cause it's mirrored.
