This looks a nice piece of software for making kits for the Mv does anyone know if the 2500 has anything like this? The software I've found so far is for 1000,2000xl and other mpcs,but the 2500 has none that I've found specifically made for it,am I wrong? I'd like to find something for the 2500 that has the total functions for the 2500 eg: q-links ... Thanks if you can help

jj have you ever thought of doing a software version for making kits?

Thanks but I don't meet the Requirements

* Mac OS X 10.3
* Intel or PowerPC Mac (G3, G4, or G5)

I'm on Pc..I own translator pro, maybe I can just translate the kits when it comes out.. Or maybe they will do one for the 2500..

I use this ;

http://www.midicase.com/mpceditor/

cheap and cheerful - also opens .akp which means you can chop in recycle, export as .akp and create a pgm, import the midi file as a sequence and you have the beat as shots, and the midi triggers...

I never got on with blue box ( http://webpages.charter.net/dereese/gary/akai.html ).. which is free.. mpceditor just does it easily..
One tip is to export things to different folder as it does some old style file renaming and gets confused

Anyways try the demo see how you get on..
