Serious Retriggering Glitch Problem MPC1000

Ok, so I've just got a new MPC1000. I bought a 256MB Ram Chip - works fine, Installed 160GB hardrive - fine, 8GB CF Card - Fine, JJOS1 4.99g, all good! Played well for a week and then while writing a track, a clap I had on A01 started triggering randomly. This has now escalated as to not be able to select a page as holding the mode button you see how its scrambling through all the pages as their triggered. When it gets onto the mixer screen you can see it scattering across the tracks changing levels and panning. Its super crazy!

I've tried re-installing all the different OS's but still no luck. Does anyone know anything about this or a possible solution? I miss it already.

have you tried rebooting your mpc while holding erase?

It displayed a page hold tap tempo & power on ---->OS1
hold tap tempo & power on ---->OS2

Which is pretty cool as I didn't know you could do that but still triggering........

Two possibles with this one:
1. You have a short somewhere on the pad bracket. If you haven't opened you mpc this isn't likely, though the short could be caused by spilt fluids (if it's milk: don't cry over it).

2. Faulty pads: (if you can) press mode + pad10 then F4 to get to the pad sensitivity page. Now try increasing the 'Pad On Level' value. If that works, you may have the old crappy pad sensors and some are failing.

I believe JJOS has changed the default sensitivity settings to correspond with improved response from the pad upgrade...

so if your pads are the old ones then there's a good chance they'll be triggering very easily because of this.
